Mai 2011 hat der ICN in einem offenen Brief die Generalsekret\u00e4rin der WHO, Dr. Margaret Chan mit einem scharfen Protest aufgefordert, die sofortige Besetzung von Referaten durch Pflegefachpersonen und deren Beteiligung in den F\u00fchrungsgremien der WHO umzusetzen. Die Zust\u00e4nde in der WHO gelten seit l\u00e4ngerem in der Fachwelt als unhaltbar. Die WHO muss angesichts der dr\u00e4ngenden Probleme in Versorgungsfragen die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Berufsgruppe in allen Gesundheitssystemen der Welt in den politischen Gremien beteiligen.
